چکیده
Hydrophobic, chemically resistant nanofiltration (NF) polymeric membranes could provide major improvements to a wide range of processes, from pharmaceutical manufacturing hazardous waste treatment. Here, we report the fabrication first poly (vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF) NF retaining their hydrophobicity and surface chemistry. This was achieved by incorporating in polymer 2D siloxene, which induce compaction PVDF chains, resulting low free volume highly ordered microstructure. Siloxene nanosheets were obtained deintercalation Ca CaSi2 using HCl, followed exfoliation size fractionation, with average lateral dimension 1–2 ?m thickness 3–4 nm. The membranes, containing 0.075 wt% have pure water permeance 22 ± 2 L m-2 h-1 bar-1 molecular weight cut-off (MWCO) 530 Da. same membrane also showed stable hexane 11 for 24 h MWCO around 535 These results supersede performance commercial expanding potential application processes requiring stable, hydrophobic membranes.

Nanofiltration membranes based on polyvinylidene fluoride nanofibrous scaffolds and crosslinked polyethyleneimine networks
In this article, we describe the synthesis of new and ion-selective nanofiltration (NF) membranes using polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) nanofibers and hyperbranched polyethylenimine (PEI) as building blocks. These new nanofibrous composite (NFC) membranes consist of crosslinked hyperbranched PEI networks supported by PVDF nanofibrous scaffolds that are electrospun onto commercial PVDF microfiltr...

In this study, the polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) hollow fiber hemodialysis membranes were prepared by non-solvent induced phase separation (NIPS). The influences of PVDF membrane thickness and polyethylene glycol (PEG) content on membrane morphologies, pore size, mechanical and permeable performance were investigated. It was found that membrane thickness and PEG content affected both the struc...

Microporous polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) and PVDF nanocomposite membranes were prepared via an isothermal immersion precipitation method using two different antisolvents (ethanol and water). The structure and morphology of the resulting membranes were investigated by wide angle X-ray diffraction (WAXD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and di...
